Speed Buffer Policy
Dubai follows a 20 km/h speed buffer policy. Cameras are triggered when vehicles exceed the speed limit by more than 20 km/h. However, this buffer should not be relied upon as speed limits may change and enforcement can vary.

Black Points System
Accumulating 24 black points within one year results in license suspension:
- • First time: 3 months suspension
- • Second time: 6 months suspension
- • Third time: 1 year suspension
- • Points reset after one year of good driving
